ABOUT
Marlo Reeves (she/her) is a sociologist of education and researcher at the American Institutes for Research. Her work focuses on youth-engaged research and program evaluation with community-based organizations, schools, and districts.
Before her time at AIR, Marlo worked as a researcher with the Office of Socially Responsible Evaluation in Education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and as a Data Visualization Fellow with Mirror Group, a DC-based consulting firm specializing in data equity. She’s also worked with the Wisconsin Evaluation Collaborative, coordinating culturally responsive and equitable evaluations for the Milwaukee Community School Partnership.
Alongside her colleagues, Marlo has published articles in top research journals, including the Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, Review of Research in Education, and the Journal of American College Health.
She has a Ph.D. from the Department of Educational Policy Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.A. in Political Science from Marquette University. She is the program chair for the Grassroots Community and Youth Organizing for Educational Justice SIG of the American Educational Research Association.
